My Story

I always wanted to help people...

Growing up in the foster system, I learned at a young age that life can be difficult and people sometimes need help. So when it came time to go to college, back in 2009, I came to OSU to get my bachelor's degree and sought after any job where I can be of help. When 2015 came, I received my degree in Speech Communication. I went through a few jobs in the Corvallis area before applying for a CADC1 position at Acme Counseling. Sadly, I had no idea I wasn't fully qualified, so I didn't get the job as a CADC1. However, I did get an offer to work the front desk and be an office manager/assistant thanks to my passion, excellent communication skills, and desire to help.

That interview was three years ago. In those three years, my roll at Acme has evolved greatly. What started as an office assistant job, slowly became an integral part of the machine that is: Acme Counseling. Not only do I run the front desk, I also assist with peer mentor services, run group counseling sessions, manage counselors' schedules, and so much more. I couldn't be happier with my job, and am proud to be able to help so many people in the community.

...And Acme allows me help people every day.
